Bryden Brown nominated for Lewiston Morning Tribune prep athlete of the week award

Bryden Brown nominated for

Lewiston Morning Tribune

prep athlete of the week award

Please take note that our Elks Golf Course Superintendent Trent Brown’s son Bryden is up for prep athlete of the week.

Last Friday, 4/19, Bryden, a freshman at Moscow High School, was medalist at the prestigious Jim Kraus Invitational at Avodale Golf & Country Club in Hayden Lake.  He followed that up with a second place finish at The Highlands Golf Course in Post Falls on Monday, 4/22.

Appropriately the Avondale tournament is named for long time Couer ‘d Alene HS coach, the late Jim Kraus Jr. who also designed the back nine at Avondale.  Jim grew up in Moscow where his dad was Dean of the College of Agriculture and a life long member of BPOE #249.  Jim also worked at the Moscow Elks course through high school and college.  The Highlands is also a Kraus design.

Bryden is the reigning Jr. Sole Survivor Champion here at the course, and more importantly the kind of young gentleman all of us are happy to see on our facility.

Good luck Bryden.  This award is something the Lewiston Tribune sponsors and the most votes determine the winner. Votes can be cast online through 4/24 at this site. —
