From the Exalted Ruler

Greetings Fellow Elk Members:

I hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas and New Year’s.  2019 was a fast year but that means golf season is only a few months away as well as spring.

December was a very eventful month.  The month started out with our annual Memorial Service to honor members who have passed away this year.  Those members were, Jerome Dahmen, Edward Jacobson, Jack LeClaire, Reo Lloyd, Larry McBride, and Don Smith.

“To Our Absent Members.”

Tom and Jerry night was a successful event with a wonderful attendance of Elk members and guests.  Bobbi, as always, had the lodge decorated very festive for the Holidays.

We recently donated $1000 to the Special Olympics through a grant that Wayne Krauss got for us.  We presented the check to Dave Ting at our lodge meeting on December 11th.

This January, on Saturday the 11th, we will have the Elks Hoop Shoot and we are hoping for a big turnout.  If your kids or grandkids are interested, please have them attend at the HIRC Center January 11, 2020 at 8a.m.

I hope the New Year finds you happy and healthy.  As always, I would like you to join our lodge meetings and come out to our events to meet and greet our members.  Pot of Gold is over $600, and Queen of Hearts is over $400 dollars.  You can’t win if you don’t join us.  Hope to see you soon.

Happy New Year,
Joel T. Jaurequito, D.C.
