Here are the results from the
Light a Candle fund raiser:
Dear Elks Family,
Thank you to everyone who participated in the 2020 Light A Candle Raffle. With the unexpected COVID 19 pandemic we thought it best to try a raffle this year. Even though there were only a hand full of winners…you did not hesitate to give hope to cancer patients in our community.
We were able to raise $3,625 this year for the Light A Candle program through your generous support along with our key sponsors (Thrivent Financial, GeoSep Services, Farm Gals, TKL Electric, Palouse Ridge Golf Course, UI Golf Course, Clarkston Golf & Country Club, Lewiston Golf & Country Club and Bryden Canyon Golf Course) and our Light A Candle Champions that donated $100 (CHS Primeland, Furniture Center, Happy Day Restaurants, Inland Cellular, Jon J. Kimberling Insurance, Pickard Orthodontics, Presnell Gage, Red Star and Umpqua Bank).
The five main prizes winners (total value $1,525) …and the lucky winners are:
CASEY LEACHMAN: Palouse Ridge Golf Course (4 rounds 18 w/cart, $25 Red Star)
KAYLYNN SEE: Bryden Canyon Golf (4 rounds 18 w/carts, $50 Dave’s Golf, $25 Red Star)
JOE COX: Clarkston Golf & Country Club (4 rounds 18, no cart, golf swag, $25 Red Star)
BOBBI ROSS: Lewison Golf & Country Club (4 rounds 18, no cart, $25 Red Star)
TRAVIS LAMBERT: U of I Golf Course (4 rounds 18 w/cart, UI swag, $25 Red Star)
We also drew for gift cards; the See kids’ golf balls (they have so diligently collected our lost balls for us this year); along with a shirt from our major sponsor Thrivent Financial with the logo “live generously.” Once again, the Elk members proved how big a heart they have for others. It is a blessing to be part of such a caring community. The lucky winners are:
$25 Bath & Body & t-shirt – Tom Soott, Carter Nelson, Will G
$25 Old Navy & t-shirt – Paul S., Jim Barrett
$25 TJ Max/Marshall & t-shirt – Mike Strom
$25 Starbuck & t-shirt – Heather McPherson
$25 Happy Day & t-shirt – Steve Kossman, Barb Heimgartner
$25 Spence – Bev Rhoades
Thanks & Blanks card set & t-shirt – Jo Lynd, Shelly Cannon
See Kid’s lost balls & t-shirt – Debbie Chamberlain, Kelly Gilder, Kim Monk, Larry Verdal, Jo Lynd, Ray Peterson, Racicot, Mike Strom, Annette Smith, Jerry Curtis.
It has truly been a challenging year “at a distance.” Next year we hope to bring back the tournament and raffle table. We genuinely thank you for standing alongside people in our community struggling with cancer and for giving them hope on their journey!
All prizes will be left at the Elks, please swing by soon and collect your prize!
