From the desk of the Secretary

As we move into December we have a number of things going on. Although we are supposed to have our Memorial Service on Dec. 3rd for members that have passed away this year, that will not be possible due to functions scheduled for that weekend. We will have the service a week later on Dec. 10th at 2pm. We had Pat Nunan, Dan Hordemann, Joe Vasquez, John Ayers, John Weber and just recently, Max Bingman pass away this year. I have attempted to contact the families of these members and I hope their friends will also attend.

Also scheduled for December is a Craft Fair fundraiser and the Gropp Christmas party on the 2nd. Our Tom & Jerry party is on Saturday the 9th at 5 PM and there will be a party for the Moscow Police Department on the 15th. Cocoa with Santa is Saturday the 16th at 1 PM. Also a point of interest is that on December 28th we will celebrate Moscow Lodge #249’s 125th birthday. For you history buffs, the article can be read at our web site www.elks249.com. I encourage all of you to check this site out as Ken Jordan does a fantastic job keeping it up. Thanks Ken!!

Thanks Wayne — I’ve been recovering from knee surgeries the past several months and have had a chance to get some things caught up.
