Volume 4, 2018
A great deal has happened since our last BULLetin. Our Bar and Dining manager, Barby, has moved to Minnesota. We have hired a couple of great ladies to run the business this summer. Heidi Canup will be our new manager and Elizabeth Robinson is our main part time employee. Heidi brings a wealth of dining and bar experience as she used to run her own restaurant. Elizabeth is a great employee and full of energy. She has already been given the name Energizer Bunny as she never stops working.
All the summer golf leagues are underway and doing well. The Club Championship and Exalted Ruler Matches have started with only a few members being confused. The Sole Survivor qualifying dates have been established (see website www.elks249.com) and Wayne Krauss has won the first open spot. Everyone interested in qualifying should be playing as many dates as possible to win or establish enough points to get one of the coveted spots.
Friday golf and steak night starts June 1st. The couple’s format is a Chapman and only $5.00 to enter. Golf is half price and golf passes are accepted. Steak or salmon dinner is only $12.50 per person. We have some fun prizes this year. Please call the Lodge to reserve your spot – it helps us know how many steaks or salmon to prepare. Come enjoy the fun and the bargain!!
Enough Elk droppings for today,
