The gratitude grant project on October 6th was a great success, we were able to demolish and reconstruct the outdoor stage at Robinson Park in less than one day. Due to the rain we were not able to stain, however, Corey Ray tells me that Scout Pack 325 will be staining the stage soon. Thanks to everyone that participated, particularly Wayne Krauss, Corey Ray, Tanya Mechling, and Sean Dorigo who kept us in line and insured professional workmanship. Also thanks to Scout Pack 325 for all their help.
This year’s Oktoberfest was great fun. The turnout was a bit smaller than last year due to all the competing events, however, the food and company were great. I really hope this tradition continues and more attend next year. Thanks Corey Ray and George Paris for making this happen. Also, thanks to Jerry Curtis for the great food.
Unfortunately, I was unable to attend the wine tasting, but I am sure a good time was had by all at that event as well. Moving into the winter more events are scheduled such as the Tom and Jerry party to be held on December 22nd, so stay tuned.
Also, as a reminder the Lodge will be having a memorial ceremony the first Sunday in December. This ceremony is to honor and remember all the members who have passed away this last year. If you are able to attend I would encourage you to do so. More details will be provided in the 249er.
