Hello. My name is Richard “Rick” Sperry and I am an elk from bishop ca (1603). I joined many years ago, (2002?) but then moved away. I am moving to Moscow with my wife and 2 young children in June/July of 2016 and want to become “active” in being an elk. I believe it is time. How do I go about that? Any help would be great. I venture I owe “dues” and need to do a transfer. Again, any help would be great. Thank you.

Your first step is to petition the Bishop CA lodge for a “certificate of release” which they would mail to our lodge — Moscow Elks #249 — PO Box 9026 — Moscow ID 83843.

When we receive the certificate of release we can process your membership here. It does not appear there would be any significant back dues or penalties involved and you would only pay our annual dues and fees.

Get back to us with any further questions.

  2. i would like to find a sponsor for membership. I probably already know some elks but just don’t know it. I would like to join to have some new friends and enjoy the golf. I have filled out the form on the nation website.

    • Ken Jordan says:

With 400 active members in our local lodge, I’m sure you do know some of us.

By filling out the online form, the information will be automatically forwarded to our membership committee and you should hear from them. I will also forward your post to the membership chair and our board of directors.

Thanks for your interest. We hope to see you at lodge and at the course.

I am interested in becoming a member of the lodge. Am I able to come to a meeting to see what it’s all about?

    • Ken Jordan says:

No. Lodge meetings are members only affairs, but you are welcome to come out to the lodge and golf course as a guest to check us out.

We have 400+ current members and any of them (or an Elks from any other lodge) can bring you as a guest.

If you wish, I can forward your interest to our membership chair and they will contact you and help you get the information you need.
